Below is a selection of projects from Michael’s early career as an artist. This collection includes work he did for television studios, the beauty industry, photographers, event planners, and tech companies.

Window clings designed for cable call centers to help sell Showtime packages.

Key art for season one of Showtime's Master of Horror anthology series.

A hang tag/package design for Deer Stags and their Pink Ribbon shoe collection. (From Michael: "This was the first time I created a pattern from scratch and a rendering of a shoe. A couple of years later when I was visiting family in Colorado I got to see these on a shelf at TJ Maxx.")

Poster designs for theatrical productions. (From Michael: "I got my first real design 'gig' when I was a graduate student at the School of the Arts at Columbia University in New York City. I was hired to design all the shows of the theatrical season at the school. This job not only helped pay for school but also launched me into my design career.")

Catalogue pages for L'Oréal's Agnes B makeup line. (From Michael: "Having access to high quality photography made working on this beauty catalogue for L'Oréal made this a dream project for me as a young designer.")

Print collateral and animated website for photographer Jennifer Altman. Postcards and business cards promoting the business looked like old film strips, a nod the photographers initial start in her field. (From Michael: "Jennifer has a fantastic eye and the website (built in old-school Flash, considered high-tech back in those days) needed to be as minimalistic as possible to make her photography take center stage.")

A series of ads and social media posts promoting game days and league events for Hawaii's Gay Kickball League.

Chinese American Council 50th Year Celebration printed collateral and presentation. (From Michael: "The design needed to be simple (only 2 colors allowed to match CPC's branding) and flexible to work across a variety of media.")

A billboard for the first season of Showtime's tv series Weeds. (From Michael: "It was a really cool moment in my young career to see this billboard in Times Square!")
